Have done a couple of checks everything seemed strong and healthy. And I'd added a few expansion supers.
Also the Goyals had a swarm (pretty weak) and I rescued it to replace the hive that died.
Last weekend there was a small swarm (not sure which hive), as I was out of town and couldn't rescue.
Before going in for this hive check, smaller hive (from the swarm) was 1 deep, 1 medium. The bigger hive was 2 deeps, 4 mediums.
Smaller hive.
Lots of burr comb and disorganized structures.
The medium is pretty full. Honey + pollen + some capped larve. The deep is some honey + pollen + some capped. Not all frames built out. And not really any eggs or young uncapped larve to see.
Overall hive is not unhealthy, but not in great shape. May need a new queen.
Big hive
So so so many bees and so much honey. Not many eggs, some capped large.
Both deeps pollen + honey + capped large and empty cells done are getting back filled with nectar. And not really any eggs or young uncapped larve to see.
#1 medium a little brood and lots of honey
#2-#5 cursory glance, full of honey!
Checkered #2 with 4 empty frames. And added a new medium box also checkered.
#3 super became #4. Added empty 7 frame for #5. Then #4 super became #6 and added empty 7 frame for #7.
